Dr. Blois' areas of research interest include the impact of inflammatory and immune mediated diseases on blood clotting (blood coagulants) and transfusion medicine in dogs and cats. She also has research interests in the role of the microbiome in health and disease in dogs and cats.

Bio/Research

Dr. Blois' areas of research interest include the impact of inflammatory and immune mediated diseases on blood clotting (blood coagulants) and transfusion medicine in dogs and cats. She also has research interests in the role of the microbiome in health and disease in dogs and cats.

Her current research projects include the investigation of anticoagulant medications in dogs with immune mediated diseases, maintaining health in canine and feline blood donors, evaluation of methods to ensure safety in blood donation recipients, and monitoring changes in microbiome in states of illness in dogs.
