Dr. Henighan studies the Spanish American novel, the literature and history of Spanish America, particularly Guatemala, Nicaragua and Peru, Lusophone Africa, with a particular focus on the literature and history of Angola, and Canadian literature and Canadian literary institutions. Bio/Research

Dr. Henighan studies the Spanish American novel, the literature and history of Spanish America, particularly Guatemala, Nicaragua and Peru, Lusophone Africa, with a particular focus on the literature and history of Angola, and Canadian literature and Canadian literary institutions. He is also an active literary translator from Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian, as well; as an editor of literary translations. In addition, he has published six novels and four books of short stories.
