Bio/Research

Dr. DeVries' areas of research include understanding the effects of feeding management on the behaviour of dairy cattle, the effects of early feeding management and housing on calf and replacement heifer feeding behaviour, and the effects of housing and management on the behavioural patterns and risk of illness in dairy cows.

He is involved in teaching and research in the areas of dairy production, nutrition, behaviour, and welfare.
