Bio/Research

Victor is a Professor Emeritus of Applied Sociology at the University of Guelph, and Research Associate Centre for Information Technology Research, University of Guelph. He has published numerous articles on Japanese Canadians, multiculturalism, aging ethnic minorities and on the role of information technology in gerontological research. His current research examines shiftwork and stress on air traffic controllers and also on the impact of computers on aging airline pilots and human factors management. He currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor, Gerontology Research Centre, Simon Fraser University at Harbour Centre, Vancouver, and is involved in Pacific Rim Research. He is also Adjunct Professor, Japanese Studies, University of Waterloo.
