Bio/Research

Dr. Greer explores the introduction, spread, dynamics, and control of infectious diseases in populations.

She studies the mechanisms that lead to the epidemic spread of pathogens as well as the methods for identifying the best interventions and control strategies.

Greer can discuss many of the uncertainties of emerging infectious diseases and the dynamics that allow them to spread. She has been directly involved in multiple public health response activities during the 2009 influenza (H1N1) pandemic, and the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
