Bio/Research

Blain Watters is a filmmaker and educator out of Toronto, Ont. Watters teaches creative writing with a specialization in screenwriting and has written many screenplays, been a TV writer, and a script doctor and editor. Watters was a podcast host on Rewatchability, a film nerd podcast with over 500 episodes., and wrote the screenplay for Sleeping Giant which won awards at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and the CSA’s (Canadian Screen Awards (Our Oscars)) and premiered at Cannes Critic’s Week. A “Web series” Watters produced — a feature length live-off-the-floor-musical has won awards at fests around the world and has over a million views on OTT streamers in the states, UK and Canada.
