Bio/Research
Dr. Yates joined the University of Guelph in 2015 after serving as dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at McMaster University, where she was a professor since 1987. A frequent commentator on labour issues, Yates has appeared in the Financial Post, Wall Street Journal, Globe and Mail and Toronto Star, and on CBC and TVO. She received her BA in political science from the University of Winnipeg, MA from Queen’s University and PhD from Carleton University.
