Dr. zur Linden’s research themes include identifying new interventions and procedures for animals (dogs, cats, horses), using 3D printing in veterinary medicine for clinical use and student and client education, creating and testing ultrasound training simulators, and investigating the impact of student spatial awareness and hands-on skills on learning.
Currently, zur Linden is working on individualized interventional treatment options for a rare condition, called nasopharyngeal stenoses, where airflow from the nose to the throat is blocked by soft tissue. Other current projects include pet identification microchip improvement, and ultrasound training models in his 3D Imaging Solutions and Innovation Laboratory.
