Bio/Research

Dr. Arnaud’s research program focuses on the field-based analysis of sediments and sedimentary rocks to better understand past glacial episodes and the nature of the subsurface in the context of groundwater resource management. Her previous work looked at the environmental conditions during the Neoproterozoic glaciations that affected early Earth. Her more recent and current research projects lie in better understanding how subsurface glacial sediments impact groundwater recharge and contaminant transport; how to predict groundwater susceptibility in specific geologic settings, and how the most recent glaciation has affected modern sedimentary bedrock aquifers.
