Dr. Favetta's researches reproductive biotechnologies and focuses on reproductive toxicology, investigating the effects on endocrine disrupting compounds such as Bisphenol A (BPA) and oxidative stressors on gene expression and molecular mechanisms regulating early embryonic development, and cell proliferation/arrest in both human and farm animals.
Favetta earned a PhD in biomedical sciences from the University of Guelph.
