Dr. Jacobs (they/them) is a researcher in biomimetics (nature-inspired solutions) and higher education, who is working on the future skills that our economy will need in a more technologically sustainable world.
Their work investigates the way in which information is understood across disciplinary boundaries, the skills needed to better transfer knowledge, and the ways that students learn transferable skills. With a focus on accessibility and inclusivity, Jacobs and their lab research group are using systems thinking approaches to help teach a better future.
